Killzone 2 Demo Available February 3 as Pre-Order Bonus

The pre-order bonus for Killzone 2 – if you order it via EBGames or Gamestop – is a special code that will give you exclusive access to the Killzone 2 Demo. The codes will be sent via email on February 3:

Reserve Killzone 2 and receive exclusive access to the Killzone 2 Demo. You must have access to Playstation Network in order to redeem promotion code. Available for online and in-store customers, while supplies last.

Online Customers: Codes granting access to the Killzone 2 Demo will be sent via email starting on February 3rd.

Dead Rising Might Hit PSN

In a recent post on the Official PlayStation Blog a “very special surprise” was promised:

Oh yeah, there’s also a big (sentence deleted by Capcom and SCEA PR ninjas)… Can you believe it? Wow, how can you not be excited about that? I’m just glad that I was finally able to talk about it. It’s been a long time coming but I’m ecstatic that it’s actually going to happen.

On of the visitors to the site left a comment:

Cool contest John..but I am sure I won’t win, I never do. I must say that it is awesome that you announced Dead Rising for the PSN, right?

Instead of denying it – this comment got the following response:

Who announced it? Me? I don’t think so!

This is not based on anything – but seems like we are going to see Dead Rising on PSN pretty soon.

There Will Be No Folklore Sequel

In a recent interview 1UP did with Yoshiki Okamoto, Game Republic founder and Folklore’s lead designer, it was revealed that Folklore will not have a sequel.

“Unfortunately, we’re not making a sequel for either of those games[Folklore or Phantom Brave]. We had talked about a PSP version for Folklore, but we’ve since ceased those discussions. It makes me a little sad, but that’s just the way it is.”

Cry On Canceled by AQ Interactive

AQ Interactive has announced the cancellation of Cry On. Cry On was to be an action RPG – no screen shots were ever shown.

AQI stated:

“AQI decided to cancel the project after analyzing the current market environment and forecasts for the future. We deeply apologize for troubling those who were awaiting its release.”
